Original painting is a large oil on canvas. I find it amazing that AI first trained on what? Art. Copying pictures, simulating creative ideas, writing stories and scripts, and improving as it goes along. This at first feels very disrespectful to all the artists that the AI was trained on, ripping and stealing techniques, ideas, and hard work without discretion. But then I also think, but of course art is what these models learned on first. Art and expression are the basis of humanity. So of course when we humans play God attempting to create something in our own image, we first share with it artistic expression. I just hope we never get to a point where AI is the only one adding art and creativity in this world. I hope we never see the day when AI has the presence of mind to stop and smell the roses and we humans do not.
